Aug 19, Does anyone have any tricks for getting a stuck pivot bolt out of the front bushing of an L body lower control arm. I've got one stuck big time, it won't budge. Since we are removing the control arm, there is no need for a special tool to remove the torsion bar.

just remove the lower control-arm pivot-shaft nut where the shaft goes through the K-member, and then use a large pry-bar to wedge the lower control arm back. TO PULL AN OLD BUSHING OUT, PLACE THE CYLINDER OF THE TOOL ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CONTROL ARM, INSERT THE THREADED ROD AND TIGHTEN IT TO EXTRACT THE BUSHING. TO INSTALL A NEW BUSHING, PLACE THE CYLINDER OF THE TOOL ON THE INSIDE OF THE CONTROL ARM, INSERT THE THREADED ROD AND TIGHTED TO PULL THE BUSHING INTO.
